Carolyn Ford Memorial

Donation protected
On Sunday, Nov. 19th, my mom, Carolyn Ford, had a stroke and unfortunately she had a very weak heart and COPD and was unable to recover. I can only speculate her heart was weak because she used all her strength loving us all so much - her last motion to me was Satruday morning when I walked into her room - she puckered her lips to give me a kiss.  She passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017.

I have received questions from family & friends on where memorial contributions can be made.  Mom did not have any favorite charities and while I'm home mourning with my husband and daughters -  my stepdad, Ben Ford is preparing for the mountain of hospital, ambulance and other medical bills that will soon be arriving.   Mom had a small life insurance policy that should cover the cost of her cremation.

Instead of sending flowers or contributing to a charity in her name, I ask that you contribute here and the money will be spent in the following ways; paying medical expenses, funeral home expenses not covered by life insurance, and any remaining household expenses that will allow Ben to stay in the home they built together at Ford Lake.

Formal obituary to come but this is my draft.
Carolyn R. Ford, 64 of rural Canton, passed away at 10:24am on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Heartland Healthcare Center - Canton. She was born on May 20, 1953 in Macomb to Albert and Doris (Scanlan) Mayo. She married Ben Ford on July 10, 1991 in Galesburg, IL, he survives.
