Carolyn Cassell Memorial Bench

Donation protected
In tribute of the outstanding community service of Carolyn Cassell
to the Borough of Penbrook, the parks sub-committee is raising
funds to place a memorial bench and tree in Elm Street Station Park.
A major renovation of the park is expected to be complete by Fall of
2019.

Carolyn gave so much of herself to many borough organizations,
including the Penbrook Church of God, Penbrook Lions Club and
Volunteers in Penbrook. Some of her contributions to the
community include; helping to start the Lions Reading Den at Grace
Church, building a memorial garden, teaching Vacation Bible
School at Penbrook Church of God and organizing food drives for
the UCC Manna Food Pantry with the Penbrook Leos. Carolyn was
an integral part of the Little Valley Park Summer Program where
she organized learning activities, speakers and field trips for the
children. As a member of the Volunteers in Penbrook, Carolyn
contributed to community tree lightings, Halloween parties and
National Night Out.

A member and past president of the Penbrook Lions Club, Carolyn
was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, the highest
recognition from the Lions Club International Foundation, given to
members who have rendered outstanding community services.

Please consider making a donation to help make this remembrance
possible.
