Carolina K-12 "Adopt a School" Plan

If business owners "Adopt a Highway" and allow their staff to volunteer, then why can't the same concept be utilized at K-12 schools in need?
Will you help me explore this vision? On November 17th 2016 I was rushed to the emergency room and spent SEVEN weeks in ICU. A rare auto-immune disorder is attacking my voluntary muscles, which required surgery to remove a mass from my thymus. I'm home recovering and am at a place of immense gratitude for this wake-up call. I say this because I was given a vision during one of many "dark nights of the soul" that has provided direction and purpose for healing and leading a productive life.
My vision is to find the intersection of K-12 schools in need with a nearby community college (for admin support) then partner the school with a local business owner. Most business owners work hard, amass a fortune, then donate a lump sum to their favorite charity after they die. My concept is to teach them Venture Philanthropy instead. Venture Philanthropy means that you give away your wealth when you're alive and become very active in a cause and also involve your employees! The business owner will provide funds to adopt the school in need and employees will volunteer at the school to provide services such as: tutoring, reading, planting a garden, healthy cooking classes, book drive for library, providing classroom supplies, teacher support, and sharing talents!
The tag line is Together We Can! I need to raise funds to get this program launched and ALL donations will be forwarded to the K-12 non-profit I've identified that can help launch the project. This kick-starter will fund research and a written plan/budget. When completed, we'll use funds to create a professional fund raising campaign on sites that have a larger reach. Right now I am asking friends and family to help in the seedling stage.
