Carol,Ian, & kids relief

Dear Friends,
We have been very lucky to be waking up by Carol, Ian, Sophie, and Nick every morning. The kids are having a good time in California and are not really aware that they have lost everything.
When Carol and Ian left St, Martin, They brought enough clothes for a few days not being aware that hurricane Irma would hit. We now know that their house lost the roof, and with it, their family lost all their belongings. The awesome medical school supplies you helped her buy, their car, clothes, toys, pans, pots, you name it. It is all gone!
We do not know when, or where they will need to reestablish their lives but we do know, that there is nothing to go back to, and they need to start from zero.
Over the past few days, many of you have asked me how to help. This is how you can help for now. While Carol is just worried, wanting to see her friends off the island, where they are struggling to get food, water, and safe shelter, I sit back and watch her wearing the same clothes over and over again, and wonder how much they will need.
If you would like to help them overcome this very traumatic experience, I ask you to donate for their "New life fund" , and send them and all their colleagues good thoughts and warm hugs,

Estamos muito agradecidos de acordar todos os dias com Carol, Ian e as crianças. Os pequenos estão se divertindo na Califórnia e não estão conscientes de que perderam tudo.
Quando Carol e Ian sairám da Ilha de San Martin, trouxeram roupas para alguns dias. Naquele momento, nao tinham a menor ideia de que iriam perder tudo que tinham.Hoje sabemos que a casa deles perdeu o telhado, e junto ao telhado se foi tudo. O material da escola de medicina da Carol, Carro, roupas, panelas, e tudo mais que vcs possam imaginar.
Nos ainda nao sabemos quando, nem aonde eles vão reestabelecer sua familia, mas sabemos que eles nao tem mais nada e terão que recomeçar do zero.
Durante os últimos dias muitas pessoas me perguntaram como podem ajudar. Essa uma maneira de ajudar por agora. Enquanto Carol está constantemente preocupada em ver seus amigos retirados da ilha, onde estão com dificuldades de ter agua, comida, e um lugar seguro para dormir, eu a vejo usar a mesma roupa dia sim dia nao, e me pergunto quanto eles precisarão.
A quem pode ajudá-los, eu peco para que doem para esse fundo de "vida nova", e que mandem muitas energias e pensamentos positivos para os que ainda estão presos na ilha.

My name is Marcia Reilly, I am carol's sister. I live in woodland, and carol and her family are staying with us for the time being. The funds here collected are to be retrieved by Carol and her husband to purchase her school supplies, clothes, household items, and hopefully a downpayment on a car.
