Carol Russel, for chemo drug

My name is Diane Mencer.  I connected with an old High School Friend on face book.  Carol Carpenter Russell.  She is fighting the same fight against Cancer that my sister did.  Her doctor started her on a chemo drug that has shown in recent tests to help her. This is her second time with Cancer and the fight. The first time took a financial tole and now they are up against bills again.  They have maxed out their health savings account, and raised enough money for the 1350.00 they have to pay Express Scripts to mail her the chemo drug for January.  She is in need of 1350.00 for the February payment.  After that she will qualify for Medicare.  She has made many calls to public services to ask for help, discounts or a way to help pay for this drug.  Unfortunately her drug does not qualify for any help at the agencies she has tried.  XYLODA is the drug she is taking.  I know how expensive chemo treatments can be. One of my sister's bills from the same oncology office was over 9,000 for 3 months.  She was lucky to have good medial insurance but not everyone does.  The entire amount raised will be  used to pay Express Scripts for Carol.

I get upset when I think of the people with Cancer and how the price of chemo drugs are so expensive. So many drug companies are getting rich off of the hardships of others. So I had to do a little something to help Carol.

Carol wants to see her 1st grandbaby be born this coming July.  I want that for her too.  How do we put a price tag on that?  What is the price for one day of life? When I think of all my sister will miss after fighting with Metastatic Breast Cancer, I wanted to do something to help Carol and her family.
