CarmelClam Cam Restoration

The Carmel Clam Cam  captures live, streaming coastal views of Carmel Bay, Stillwater Cove and portions of Pebble Beach Golf Course. The camera has been active for more than a decade and is "on" 24/7. It's open to the public, who may control the camera. Sometimes it's for watching surfers (and surf), golfers and at other times dolphins, otters and whales.
The cam also acts as a weather cam, revealing the sometimes fierce central California coastal meteorlogical activity.

The effort here is to create working capital for ongoing maintenance, bandwidth, site development and equipment. Recently the Axis 214 PTZ network camera died (failed image sensor). The aim is to replace it as soon as possible. Equipment is never cheap, and will always fail (eventually).

People viewing and appreciating the camera have the most vested interest. Currently the site receives about 1,100 viewers per week, from all over the world. But all contributions are most welcomed.

Thanks for visiting here. Hope you take a look at the site. And thanks for your donations.
