Caring for Miss Did-Dee

Donation protected
Edith Brown (Did-Dee) as most know her had a Stroke on Tuesday, June 26th that required her to undergo surgery to remove the blockage in her brain.  While they were operating they placed a stent to keep the artery open.  The stroke occurred in the communication center of her brain so speech and finding the words to express herself is difficult, and will take time to improve.

We are unsure how long recovery will take at this point; however, we do know life will be different for a while.  For the last year Did-Dee's primary role has been as a caretaker for two of her grandchildren, like she has done for so many children as a daycare provider and preschool teacher for over 30 years.

The money will help to cover every day bills as well as medical bills since she will be unable to work.  We are still learning all the details and what will be involved in the healing process, but she is a very strong person and we have very high hopes for a speedy recovery.

Miss Did-Dee has touched many lives caring for so many children in her lifetime. From Old Town to Lewiston she is a tremendous presence in so many children’s and family’s lives. Any amount is appreciated and if you are unable to donate we understand, but please share and help spread the word about Miss Did-Dee.

Thank you for your support -
