Campbell Thomas was born May 15 at 3:57am to parents Chip and Rebecca Griffith. Already having two girls, Chip and Rebecca were eager to have their first boy and make their family complete. The pregnancy and delivery went smoothly and everyone assumed Campbell would be a happy, healthy baby boy. However, three days later, Chip and Rebecca would receive news that would send their world crashing down.
Campbell was diagnosed with tetraology of fallot, which is made up of four heart defects and can only be repaired with open heart surgery. This surgery must be preformed as soon as possible to prevent any other set backs or long term effects on Campbell and his growing little body. Obviously this came as a shock to their family and not only were they blindsided by the news, they are now facing countless doctor visits and a slew of medical bills that no parent should have to face.
As friends and co-workers of Chip and Rebecca, we are asking for anyone who has a heart to donate by clicking the buttons below. This donation will be used to help pay for medical bills and related expenses for Campbell and his family.
No parent should have to stand by and watch as their 4 month old goes through open heart surgery, much less worry about whether they can afford to miss work to be by their sons side. Even though we know he will have a fantastic team of doctors and nurses, the worry that comes with such a serious diagnosis is always there.
