Carina's Warrior Fund

I am helping to raise money for my best friend, Carina, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. It all started with a lump that she found in December of 2017. What began as a simple lumpectomy, soon became a right mastectomy and the beginning of a journey that still continues today. She started with a diagnosis of Stage I Breast CA and within a couple months, it became a diagnosis of Stage III Breast CA. We came to find out that this is a very aggressive cancer and it has been a whirlwind of doctor's appointments, surgery, and now aggressive chemotherapy which will be followed by radiation therapy as well. Carina has just undergone round three of her chemotherapy treatment and although she has maintained good spirits and faith, she is very tired and is really beginning to feel the side effects of chemotherapy. She has been unable to work since the mastectomy in April of this year and is now beginning to feel the financial burdens that come along with this. So I am here to try and help her raise money so that she may continue on this journey as easily as possible. Carina is a warrior and continues to overcome every obstacle that has come her way. She was a dedicated teacher to her students during her second career and became a dedicated nurse to the patients that she has cared for since answering her calling to healthcare. She has gone on missionary trips to other countries to help those in need and provide medical services to the less fortunate. I could not be any more proud to say that Carina is my best friend and that I love her like a sister.
