Care for Stray Pregnant Dog

A little White female Shih Tzu was found on October 12, 2016 in Los Arboles subdivision.
Austin Lost and Found Pets put out a plea to find a foster for her. I picked her up from the nice family who found her on October 25, 2016 to foster her and locate her owners. I have posted her on Craigs list, Austin Animal Center, and in the facebook group Austin Lost and Found Pets.
To my surprise...she is pregnant! I took her to Thrive for an office visit and xrays. She is pregnant with 6-8 pups!
The puppies are estimated to arrive soon...Sometime between December 9 and 23.
My daughter has been calling her Smushy. Smushy is an extremely sweet dog. She doesn't growl or bark. Not even when my other dogs are. She loves children. My 7 year old was carring her all over most of the day like a baby until we found out she was pregnant.
I started this gofundme request for her vet bills. I am worried that she might need a cesarean or other complications at birth or after. The vet at said there is no way of knowing if she will need a cesarean or other problems ahead of time. We do not know the size of the dog that she bred with and that's a lot of pups for a small dog. She was only 10 pounds when I got her. I want to be prepared in case there is an emergency.
All money that is not used for her or the puppies will be given to the 501 nonprofit group Austin Lost and Found Pets. They are the primary resource for reuniting missing pets with their families in Austin.
