Meet Jason Klock
Son, Husband, father, grandfather, God father, brother, and friend
On July 2, 2018 this strong, vibrant hard working man suffered catastrophic injuries when hit head on by a wrong way driver while driving to work early Monday morning. Jason was trapped in his burning jeep, screaming for help. Amazing people stopped to pull him out of the fiery inferno and ultimately saved his life. After being pulled from the flaming wreckage, Jason was transported to Hartford Hospital to be assessed. They did xrays, cat scans, and many other tests. His burns are so bad they decided to air lift him to Yale New Haven Burn Center.
After being stabilized, Jason was air lifted from Hartford Hospital to Yale New Haven. He was and still is heavily sedated, intubated, and wrapped head to toe in bandages. He has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 40% of his body (legs, arms and face), and a fractured leg and ribs. He is where the right experts and equipment can give him a fighting chance. Jason defied the odds!
Jason Klock should survive, but it will be a long road back.
One of the many obstacles his family faces is the sheer cost of the medical bills, the cost of food, and lodging.
When you add it all up, the end cost to the family will likely exceed the price of the average home in the United States.
His loving and supportive wife, Karen, should be concerned about one thing: getting Jason well. I’ve created this Go Fund Me page in hopes that she can focus on his care, and not the crushing medical costs they are facing.
