Old Farts Cardiff to Oxford Ride

We are a group of around 45  people from various backgrounds and genders.  Our collective goal is to raise money  to help individuals/families who are in need of support and do not receive it from other sources . We are not a registered charity we fund all our own bikes and expenses so every penny we raise goes to the causes mentioned below.We call ourselves the "old farts"  because basically that is what most of us are.  We are attempting a cycle ride this year of around 120 miles from Cardiff to Oxford on September 8th 2018 to raise money for the following causes:- . Colin Nelmes - Colin was the cousin of one of the Old Farts who died suddenly at the age of 39 leaving a wife and 2 small children aged 5 and 6.   We would like to help in some way financially. Darren McConell - Darren is well known to the ex rugby players in the Old Farts, Darren is currently fighting a serious illness which is impacting on his ability to work.  We would like to offer some financial help in some way so he can focus on his health issues. Kath and Kyle Beere - Kyle suffered a brain haemorrhage age 12 and was affected by the lack of paediatric rehabilitation facilities in Wales or the South West.  He has been left with serious health issues requiring lifelong support.  As well as working and looking after her son Kath has set up a charity Kyle's goal to raise the money for the first rehabilitation unit for children in Wales.  We to show our support for her and Kyle. Jess is a  young mum related to one of our members.  Tragically she lost her second child only days after birth.
