Intro
I'm a filmmaker in Ireland (born in Chicago). I wanted to share my story with you, and if it resonates with you I would be hugely greatful any support you'd like to give.

From over here in Ireland I saw an energetic movement that was unfolding and gathering momentum in the United States, propelled by the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign. It caught my attention, along with millions of others all around the world. Something special was happening.

Issues like environmental justice, income inequality and corporate greed had entered into the mainstream vernacular. Suddenly the word socialism evoked new meaning, and the idea of status quo capitalism was being widely rejected especially by young people.

This fresh energy, enthusiasm and engagement had the potential to drift away or dissolve after it was clear that Bernie Sanders would not become the nominee for the Democratic Party.

Story
In mid-July, I heard about this cross-country caravan that was happening  - and within a week I had my plane ticket from Dublin to LA with my camera equipment. I could feel that this was something special, and that it had to be captured in a film.

So much of the media we see every day distracts us from the important things that are happening in our world.

This is an inspirational and important story - one that I believe people need to see. The people I met on the road are the heart of this story. Untimately it's about them.

I'm convinced that you will be blown away by the honesty, passion and love that these people have for each other and the world.

This is a story about a group of people who decided to show up anyway. It's about people coming together, uniting together and realising that no politician is going to save the planet. That it truely is up to us. If we want to change the world, we first need to look within ourselves and take responsibility for that change.

Production
The film was shot over the course of 12 days, travelling across the entire United States. We started in Los Angeles and made our way to Philadelphia arriving just before the Democratic National Convention was to begin on 25th July 2017.

As a filmmaker I have decided to invest my time, my money and most importantly my passion into this project - and I am honored to do so.

The project is currently in post-production and is expected to be completed in the coming months. It's current runtime is 80mins!

Funding
The film will be completed regardless of reaching the funding goal. However my skills are limited and so my aim is to raise money to hire specialists to contribute in the following areas:

Animation Sequences
Colour Grading
Sound Design and Mixing
Marketing

If we do reach the funding goal I feel this investment will significantly add to the overall quality of the finished film. I would be hugely greatful if you would consider supporting the film in any way that you can. Your contribution wil simply bring this film to the next level and help make it awesome!

Is this film going to change the world? Hell no - but I hope it helps to inspire the generation who will :)

The struggle continues!

- Joseph
