Ollie's Liver Transplant Fund

Donation protected
Ollie was born with a rare metabolic disorder known as Ornithine Transcarbamylase Deficiency (aka OTCD). At 5 days old, he nearly died while the teams at the Boston Childrens Hospital NICU did everything to save his life.

After emergency dialysis and a week in a metabolic come, Ollie opened his again, and began his long road to stabilization. 36 days later we had a working protocol for medications and nutrition and we went home. After multiple readmissions due to dangerously elevated ammonia levels, he was listed for liver transpant.

While awaiting the call for an available donor organ we have had multiple readmissions and are now familiar with the costs of ongoing hospitalizations (mostly because it takes me out of work for at least a few days). Every time we have to go to Boston Children's Hospital, it's a $693 loss PER WEEK. To help us prepare a buffer for when Ollie DOES finally get the call, we are raising money for rent in the case that I am unable to go back to work before a month is out and prevent us creating an even bigger hole of debt.

If you are interested in organ donation, please visit www.lahey-livingdonor.org and click the "Liver Donor" link to fill out eligibility questionairres. Ollie also has a facebook page, www.facebook.com/capecodollie that you can check out for more information.

Thank you so much for any donations and for any shares <3
