This April employees from Police Credit Union SA will spend two days paddling down the Murray River raising money for The Blue Light Police Link Program.
This program involves police officers volunteering their time monthly to visit children in South Australian hospitals. The officers teach children important community safety messages and create positive distractions from their illnesses.
This also provides the opportunity to break down barriers between police, children and the community.
The program uses donations in a variety of ways including the purchase of age appropriate items to enhance children’s stays in hospital.
