Cancer put me in Debt

UPDATE#3  HRA let me suspend payments when my last PT gig dried up. I am now back to work, and I just had my hours cut from 20 to 10hrs/week, which has now put me in the position of having to maybecut off my phone service, which will make it impossible for me to work, as it's also an adaptive device in order to make the $200/month payment.  I still owe $1275.

UPDATE#2: My housing has forgiven all but $2400 in back rent, which is reflected above. I received the "one-shot" which has kept me from being evicted, and the aggreement between me and HRA is for me to repay this no-interest loan at $200/month over the next 12 months.

UPDATE: I have returned to work, part-time, and while this will allow me to start paying rent again, it still won't  catch me up. I have now applied for a one-shot, which has come through, and I am now in repayment.

Hi, my name is Kelly Lincoln and I am a cancer survivor and living with th effects of a traumatic brain injury . two years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 1A Breast Cancer, and I underwent sugery, chemotherapy, and radiation (that's why the photo i sme with no hair.) While I am fortunate enough to have insurance that completely covers my medical expenses, it has prevented me from working.

I am living in supportive housing, having been hospitalized four years ago for suicidal ideation and becoming homeless. I am also a Traumatic Brain Injury survivor and still living with the affects of the injury. I am living in Section 8 housing, This is very hard for me to do, as asking forthis type of assistance is embarassing to me.

Thanks,
Kelly Lincoln
