Your prayers love, and messages of support have sustained us since we received the news that Giovanni had cancer (Thyroid Medullary Carcinoma). We could not have managed it without them.
We are grateful to everyone who has helped in many ways with meals, transportation, and other support for us. Our gratitude goes beyond words.
Unfortunately, no amount of planning can prevent or manage what we have and what we are going through.
Everybody that knows Giovanni knowshe always helped before even being asked, and everyone of us has count on him for the good and the bad times. Family and friends know that he has been there to help anytime and anywhere, even during those times when it meant sacrifice of family. As a husband, he has been the biggest blessing on earth, always filled with the purest love, kindness and respect. As a father, he has always loved or kids beyond love. From changing a diaper, to moving abroad for their own best; there is nothing in this world he has not done and would not do for his family.
Unexpected health expenses weighs heavily on our family right now. The costs of care, without insurance, are simply ruinous, and we can no longer absorb the expenses we are facing. Giovanni has to be urgently operated, and we do not know anything about his post-surgery treatments or rehab yet.
Thanks to a friend, he was blessed by getting his ticket paid for to leave to Italy, in order for him to get prompt medical assistance and surgery.
