Cancer sucks. It's time to live and fight.

I find myself at a loss for words...  What started as a little cold and persistent cough took a turn for the worse.  On February 1, 2019 my incredible Baby Sister Tien was diagnosed with Stage iv, adenocarcinoma of the lung.  As each round of tests came back, she was dealt with one blow after another.  Her cancer had metastasized to her brain and her specific EGFR mutation is unresponsive to some of the newer therapies. But, with the unwavering spirit of a champion, she is fighting back at cancer.  The fight will be a grueling one consisting of aggressive chemotherapy and immunotherapy.  

But, with the latest tests showing she will also need radiation therapy, returning to work may not be an option.  The reality of paying medical bills, rent and exploring every treatment possible is mounting.  Because she had recently started a new respiratory therapist job at CHOA in Atlanta, she isn't eligible for some of the normal benefits.  I am requesting funds to help with all aspects of Tien's treatment and allowing her to focus on beating cancer!

These first weeks have reminded us what an amazing group of friends, family and co-workers Tien has.   The love and support has lifted Tien's spirit and buoyed her will to fight.  Thank you....thank you...thank you....
