Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre

The Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre is seeking support in finding new space and monetary donations to help them transition through this disaster.    The CAIFC recently learned that their tenant insurance was not adequate to entirely replace their losses or to help them find alternate working space in the interim period.   The CAIFC is a registered charity and will issue receipts for tax purposes for all donations.

The CAIFC wishes to immediately secure up to 8,000 sq.ft. of office and meeting space, centrally located, on a bus route and fully accessible.     From their location at 2929 Howard Avenue the Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre normally employs 21 staff, delivering a multitude of Indigenous community support programs, all of which are now on hold until suitable space can be secured, furnished, and equipped.

CAIFC programs provide support to Indigenous peoples living within the urban environment of Windsor and Essex County.   In addition to administration space, the Can-Am Indian Friendship Centre requires office, meeting and workshop space to deliver a wide range of programs serving the needs of individuals, families, seniors, children and youth.  The service include providing support with Addictions, Mental Health, Homelessness and Wellness programs for the whole family.

We are seeking a charitable donation, to support the immediate relocation of our offices and replacement of damaged furnishings and equipment,
