Campfire Survivors - Grandma Doris

Donation protected
The devastating  fire which has depleted the town of Paradise California, a population of 27,000 started November 8, 2018. It is currently burning 80 acres a minute and has spread over 70,000 acres. This unbelievable disaster as taking the lives of five people and numberous homes.

Our grandma Doris, 89 years old and Auntie Donna 64,  are two of many who have lost their home.  Donna and Doris have been a resident of Paradise for over 20 years, after retiring and relocating from the bay area. Grandma Doris used always joke it was the closest she would get to living in “paradise”. She had remembered the town from a short visit diring her youth. Unfortunately living on a fixed income,  they did not have homeowners insurance, let a lone a vehicle, and now are lost on what to do next. She was graciously evacuated from members of her church and brought to her grand daughters home in Chico.

For anyone who knows Doris, knows she has a heart of gold. She loves all animals and children. Doris not only raised her own children but her grandchildren and is a huge part of her great grandchildren’s lives as well.  Now more than ever we would like to ban together and help repay her for all of her selfless acts, warm meals she cooked, and always welcoming ANYONE and EVERYONE into her home.
