Camp Basic Reunion Trip

Hi!! We are a tribe made up of 14 individuals who are currently undgoing cancer treatment or are in remission that we affectionately call Camp Basic!
We met in June of 2016 when we were brought together by First Descents to relax from the burden of living with cancer.
We were able to go to Hood River, Oregon on a whitewater kayaking & rafting venture along the Klickatat and White Salmon Rivers. But in 6 short days, we got way more out of that trip then we could of ever hoped. We found our tribe, in one another. We created lifelong friendships among 14 individuals ranging from ages 23 to 36 and whom come from all walks of life.
Because our trip to Oregon made such an impact on us, we decided that we wanted to plan a reunion trip so that we would all be able to come back together and go on more outdoor adventures; empowering one another along the way. However we are spread out all over the US and all of our lives are so diverse in our day to day. Knowing funds would be limited for most of us and knowing that we would absolutely love the opportunity to give back to the program that brought us together; we decided to hold a fundraiser and an online auction!
Your donation would give us the amazing opportunity to reunite, rejuvenate our souls and empower our bodies; all while reminding us that we are so much more than our cancer! Your donation will go towards funding another outdoor adventure, lodging, and food while we are together once again.
Your donation would also go towards a lump sum that will be donated to the First Descents, after our initial goals are met.
The First Descents is a program that brings both cancer survivors and patients together, sending them on amazing outdoor adventures and empowering them to regain confidence and dignity in their bodies.
This is an opportunity to help out people who are battling or have battled the beast of cancer and have found a group of people to support them along the way. We would be ever so grateful for your contribution!
