Help Imam attacked at Mosque get back on his feet

My name is Imam Luqman Ahmad, I'm raising money to get back on my feet after losing my home and being attacked at a local mosque. On November 16th, I was attacked in an unprovoked ambushed and potentially lethal assault after Friday prayers at a local mosque in Sacramento Ca. I was shaken up but I survived and suffered broken bones. I didn't see it coming, the assailant got me pretty good and managed to escape before the police arrived. We've turned the matter over to the Sacramento Police. Friends, family and students have suggested that I start a GoFundMe page to help recover and get back on strong footing.
So here's my story. I believe in God, I trust Him, I believe in the good will of people, and I pray he inspires you to make a donation. I was an Imam of a mosque in California for 20 years . In April of 2016 I was forced out with no severance, pension, unemployment and no income for a while. My family struggled but I continued to serve people and speak out against injustice because losing your job does not stop you from service. On July 24th 2018 we lost our home, and shortly after that we lost all of our possessions including my books. Then I was attacked for my views. So there you have it, that's my story.
I need to be safe and get back on my feet so that I can continue teaching, and advocating on behalf of marginalized and oppressed Muslims and non-Muslims and care for my family. I need to pay off my debts, especially in case something happens to me, repair my car, replace some of our possessions, and get back to a somewhat normal life. I'm a simple man, I work for a noble cause, and this is a difficult situation for me. But I could use your help, and I pray that you are inspired. Our Prophet (SAWS) said; "Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter".
