Citizens of Philadelphia, I humbly declare my candidacy as City Controller. I previously served the city of Philadelphia as Assistant Treasurer in the City Treasurer’s Office. As manager of cash operations, I oversaw and solely managed Philadelphia’s Consolidated Cash account, investments, collateral, and cash forecasting.
My education consists of a BA in Chemistry and MBA in Finance. During my undergraduate studies, I was a former D1 track athlete. In my free time, I like to play basketball and golf. One thing about me people may not know is that I write poems and lyrics. I am a proud member of, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, in which Dr. Martin Luther King is one of many notable members.
I’m choosing to run to replace the status quo politics that still exist. Philadelphia needs someone who cares for improvement and wants to implement change. I chose not to run as a democrat because of the establishment politics that exist.
I need at least 5,000 signatures to get on the ballot as an Independent. I need campaign materials to get my campaign out. This includes flyers and a radio ad.
