Camino for the voiceless

My story Today, 17th of June 2018, I will start the Camino for a good cause, to help the animals, the most vulnerable and innocent beings in the world .
Like most vegans, after opening my eyes and seeing the reality of agriculture and the exploitation of animals, I felt I had to do something. I wanted to change my life by overcoming and turning that feeling of sadness and hopeless into a fight for them. The last reason that prompted me to finally decide it was a speech I heard at the vegan festival in Cork @dublinvegfest, Ireland, where I've been living for almost 7 years, it [email redacted]na.

She is basically a heroine, a vegan athlete, she ran marathons, including the marathons of the North Pole and Antarctic Ice, she also finished in the top ten in important world marathons, she completed the Sabers Marathon twice and most amazingly, she runs her own sanctuary almost without help, in which she cares 400 animals, including horses, pigs, sheep and dogs. Her endless passion really inspired me. She said something like 'I'm not very good at speeches but I can run'.

I felt reflected with these words and then I just understood that there are many different ways to be a vegan activist in order to raise awareness about the cruelty and exploitation of animals.

I want to dedicate this challenge to them, I want the end of animal agriculture, the end of their exploitation and the end of their suffering.

All the money raised will be directed to help a SANCTUARY called Mino Valley Farm Sanctuary located in Lugo, Galicia, Spain.

It is the first refuge that welcomes farm animals. Their dedication is endless and everything thay this couple does is simply amazing. They rescue animals that have been abandoned and abused, rehabilitate them and give them a space to live in freedom where they are cared for with all their love. Here you have more information

I am about to start this mission, sitting on a bus, for 12 hours that will take me to Irún, where my trip will begin. Then I will walk 815 kilometers to Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain. I am traveling alone and all I ask is for a small donation, € 1 is enough and it means the world for these creatures who need our help.

If this is going well, I would love to help more places. I have in mind @anonymousforthevoiceless since I am a member of AV in Ireland. I would appreciate if you shared your ideas about places that you think need support, could be along the Camino in the Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias or other places around the world.

I will try to share my Camino every day with all of you on Instagram, @siempre.vegana so that you can witness my day to day and of course I would really appreciate a lot that you share this publication to reach as more people we can and raise more funds to help our friends.

I would LOVE to receive messages of support and if you want to contact me to meet up during the Camino you would make me super happy.

Thank you very much in advance,

Together we are stronger.
