"I used to perform to spite my fear. Now I perform despite my fear"
- That's a Camille Thomas original quote for ya.

Hey everyone, I have been accepted into the Williamstown Theatre Festival's Acting Apprenticeship (I had been praying so hard about this, that I started crying at work when I found out).

What is the Apprentice Company at the Williamstown Theatre Festival?

"The WTF Apprentice Program is a hands-on fully immersive introduction to the world of professional theatre during the summer season of the Tony Award-winning Williamstown Theatre Festival" (*).

From June 14th through August 19th I will be working with and observing a community of established theatre professionals through master classes and numerous WTF jobs.

P.S. STERLING K BROWN was an actor in their non-equity acting company! I will walk the same ground Sterling K. Brown walked on!

I will also have the opportunity to audition for Festival productions .

Why do I want to join the Apprentice acting company at WTF?

I have been acting seriously since the 11th grade and my artistic journey has been amazing. Along the way I self-published a children's book, did nonprofit theatre and dance work in Ethiopia, devised an original theatre social justice theatre production at East Lansing Highschool, and began performing my poetry ( one of which I used to submit to this program). I believe this is the next step in my adventure which will allow me to position myself with the best possible opportunities before I graduate in May 2019.

What will the funds be going towards?

The approximate total is $4,250 representing housing, a full meal plan and all of the professional development workshops.

I am also going to try and get college credit for this apprenticeship
