To the nurse who saved me Thank You

Hi, I’m Caleb. When I was a baby a tragic car accident took the lives of my parents and left me with a traumatic brain injury. I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the heroic efforts made by the many paramedics, firemen, nurses and doctors who helped save me that day.
As the video shows, there was one nurse in particular who didn’t give up on me. I needed medication, but my veins had collapsed and it was almost impossible to get the medication in me. She used a procedure called intraosseous infusion and administered the medication directly into the bone marrow of my ankle.
We have found out that this nurse who I so wanted to thank has now passed away. It has been incredible to learn more about her and the life that she lived. I am so thankful to this determined woman and hope that she feels my gratitude even after she has passed on.
The truth is, there were many who saved my life that day. With three skull fractures and intense head trauma, my life was on the line more than once. Thanks to everyone who shared my video, I have been able to connect with other doctors, nurses, paramedics, and more who were involved in saving my life and the life of my siblings. I have been deeply touched by the efforts they made.
My siblings and I have all felt strongly that we need to go down to Texas to thank these heroes in person. Ever since the car accident that killed my parents, I have lived in Utah with my aunt and uncle who raised me. The flights down to Texas along with hotel costs will be well over $5000. This financial cost came unexpectedly as we had no idea that kind of reach my video would have. We are doing our very best to get down to Texas no matter what, but any small donation you could make would be tremendously appreciated.
I hope I can go back to Texas, for Christmas, and give these wonderful people the thanks that they deserve. I’m now 18 years old, getting ready to graduate from high school, and hope to go to college one day. And I owe it all to one special nurse.
Please help me fund our trip to Texas, and any extra will go toward my college fund.
