Who Are We
For those of you who may not know us personally, we are Caleb and Heather Persick. We have been married for just about 3 and 1/2 years.
We both love music and serve together in our church. Caleb plays piano and I sing. We’re basically our own band :) We also love to travel to exciting new places, we get way too excited about Christmas, and we both really do believe with all of hearts that Disney is the happiest place on earth (although Caleb sometimes gets that confused with LSU Tiger Stadium).
We were married in the church where we met, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and since then the last three years have been a non-stop adventure. In the spring of 2017, Caleb’s job moved us to Annapolis, Maryland. We are so blessed to have wonderful jobs, an incredible base of friends around us, and a great home.
We Are the Village
Since moving here, it has become evident that God is calling us to parenthood, and specifically, to grow our family through adoption. We are so excited for the thought of being parents to a beautiful child that needs a wonderful home. We’ve called this journey “We Are the Village” because it really does take a village to raise a child in this world.
Because of that, we are asking everyone in our village to prayerfully consider helping us as we take this step toward adoption. There are many steps along the way, and lots of costs to cover (just a few of the items are listed below). We will always make sure our little one knows how many people were a part of bringing them home.

A few of the items that will be covered with this fundraiser:
1. Adoption Agency Fees
2. Local lawyers to finalize adoption
3. Home Study costs
4. Once we are matched with a mother and are called that our baby has arrived, we have to hop the next flight we can get to fly to wherever they are (last minute flights)
5. We will need to stay in the birth mother's state for up to 3 weeks, so we will need to cover hotel, rental car and food
6. Certain birth mother expenses...related specifically to her pregnancy and counseling
