Calais Convoy: Team York

On 18th June, a huge convoy will travel to Calais, with vehicles joining from across Britain, and backed by Unions, Faith and Campaign groups from across Britain. This is an act of political as well as practical solidarity with those stuck in the Calais camps.
The Calais Camp Still Stands! - the French and UK governments have played the media in their attempt to show that the camp is closed and demolished. Yet without media attention, the situation is more desperate than ever for those trapped there. A recent fire destroyed many shelters.
Team York: focusing on people and money. We want to give a huge financial donation to the groups working in Calais, enabling them to provide food long after the physical donations have run out. We're asking those who are traveling to cover their own transport costs, so we can hand over everything we raise. We can still add more cars, drivers and passengers if you contact us ASAP.
