Laine McGee Needs our Help!

Laine has helped so many people without hesitation but now she needs your help! For the past many years Laine McGee has always shown the true definition of a strong woman. One being Selma's Ice Cream Parlor in Afton. Through out the 25 plus years of owning Selma's, she has shown true sacrifice and a heart big enough for a whole town. She has given plenty of young adults the chance to become independent. She never turned down someone who needed a job. For many of you it was your first job and she knew it would be one of your beginning stages of life. She showed us how to treat one another with respect and friendship. She even went so far as to help with schooling or staying a fund for us to travel or afford college. Even with those "troubled youth" she let them work for her, to do yard work and such to pay back any debt you may have owed. Most even continued to work for her as regular employees for many years. She was grandma to everyone, from your very first ice cream cone to brining your young ones in to share in the memories. She has sponsored plenty of benefits to promote good will amongst our selves. She has done all this when many told her it wouldn't be possible, even the weather and flooding couldn't hold her back from her dreams. She has helped all of us in one way or another. And now she needs our Help. She is fighting a never ending battle with her body. It has now even come to the point where she could lose her leg. Her medical bills keep growingand she can no longer afford the help she needs. Including putting in a ramp so that she can go to and from her home. We fear that she cannot keep up in this fight without all or help. Please think of our "special grandma". Anything helps. Even if you can't afford it, please share your memories of this wonderful woman. It might help others find it in their heart to help her. Please hear our prayers. And share this page.
