Clay and Lindsey Ashford and their young son Lyric tragically lost their home in the Carlton Complex Firestorm on Thursday July 17th, 2014. Their dream home was under construction being built by hand from irreplaceable materials, recycled from many old homes and interesting places that were collected for years that they were building themselves.
They need money immediately just to survive until they can start again. This is a huge personal loss and as part of the village we can help them survive and move forward.
Clay is also a carpenter and has lost all of his tools which he uses for work. Lindsey is an artist and lost many of many of her materials and projects. Both are currently unemployed due to the catastrophic events that night, as Lindsey's employer's home also was destroyed in the fire. Lyric their son has lost the only home he has known. This is a wonderful amazing family who have lost their dream and really could use a miracle.
