Help To Avoid Eviction/Homelessness

I'm not a fan of asking for help. Not for myself, or others for that matter. The friend I am doing this for would never in a million years ask for help either. She already feels like a burden.
I am sharing this with my friends because I hope that you trust me and who I am. I will not say who this help is for in order to protect her and I ask that you respect the privacy of my friend. She has no idea I'm doing this for her either.
My friend has ended up in a place she never thought she would be. As soon as she tries to take a step forward, she gets mowed over and forced to take three steps back.
Some background info: Many of you know her. She has lived in an abusive marital situation for over 20 years She did get the courage to leave, but her husband is coming after her in more ways than you can imagine. After she left, he filed for child support. She now has one of her children with her, so though she no longer has child support to pay, she has arrears because it took her a long time to find employment in the town she lives because her car got repossessed. Long story short, in an error, Child Support Services garnished well over 50% of her first two paychecks, leaving her with less than $80 to live on, which includes feeding the child she does have living with her. I have been giving her rides to Binghamton to try and get this settled, but it is going to be two more weeks minimum before she can be making enough money to pay her rent, which was due on October 1st. If she gets evicted, she has no place to go. Her parents are deceased. Social Services cannot offer her any assistance other than food stamps and medicaid.
So here I am, asking for help to keep a roof over her head for the month of October while the county and her employer get things worked out in terms of her wage garnishments.
The money will be handled by myself and I will pay the landlord directly to ensure the rent gets paid as soon as possible.
