My name is Teri Christoph and I am the aunt of Paul Sapourn. My sister, Cathy Sapourn, is Paul's mother.
Paul is a freshman at the University of Florida, and he abruptly left school Saturday, January 23rd and took a plane to Los Angeles. He spent time during January 23-27 in Venice, Santa Monica, and near the UCLA campus. All communication with Paul went dark the afternoon of the 27th, when phone communication cut off; this also when he last used his debit card.
Paul has never been to LA before and he doesn't know anyone out there. A stranger had given him a place to stay for a few nights, but he had to find new lodgings as of Wednesday. As far as we are aware, he was unsuccessful at finding a new place and was unsure of what he was going to do next. The fact that he has very little money on him increases our fear for him.
We are not certain why Paul went to LA, but we do consider him endangered since he is not taking the medication necessary to ensure his health and well-being. The abrupt ceasing of communication is very, very worrisome.
The purpose of this GoFundMe account is to raise money so we can offer a reward for information that leads us to Paul. 100% of funds raised will go to that purpose. All unused funds will go to assist other missing person cases.
Paul is a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend. We need your help to bring him home safely.
