Save starving ponies of Bodmin Moor

During an evaluation of pony condition on Sunday 10th whilst carefully photographing the ponies we came upon a little mare "bogged" in a marsh.. Sadly after 2 hours trying to assit her to stand again the decision had to be taken to put her down due to hypothermia, exhaustion and stress.. She was suffering too much.. Devastatingly she was pregnant..

In the last month working with Bodmin Moor Commoners Association, Animal & Plant Health Agency and Redwings we have taken in 14 starving ponies.. After Sunday's evaluation we are expecting to take a further ponines from 3 commons. 

We are a not for profit organisation based around Boscastle on the North Coast of Cornwall called Shires Holt..  We shall be working with a team of volunteers to recuperate our heard of Bodmin Moor ponies., and so if you can help in any way we would love to hear from you.. We would be delighted to receive any donation you may be able to make, no matter how small, to help us with funding for hay and medical provisions for these starving ponies..
