I need health insurance on my trip.

Hey friends, family, friends of family, family and friends of friends,

Im leaving Chicago a month from today (July 25th) to travel the South for the entirety of an SEC football season, attend games, meet people, live on the road, and write a book about the experience.

I've saved money and worked a couple jobs this summer to make the trip work financially.

However, I won't be able to cover health insurance for the year by myself. My former employer has a decent package that costs about $1800 for the year.

I don't like the idea of asking people for money but it's what the circumstances call for. I guess I take some comfort in knowing this seems a more worthwhile ask than the guy who got 50k to make potato salad.

Not having done this before, I don't know how the thank you gift system works, but know that if you donate and help me get insured for this trip, I will find some way to acknowledge that and show my gratitude.

Thanks so much for helping me chase down a dream of mine before I get too old and tied down and sit around talking about what I might have done.
