Boy Scout Troop Merit BadgeTrip 8/2

Our Boy Scout Troop has been given a unique opportunity to attend a special merit badge class in San Antonio being hosted at the SeaWorld Educational Center on August 2nd. This is a educational program that is only offered to certain troops that meet educational requirements. Our Boy Scouts have worked extremely hard to meet the requirements, and were successful; however they were passed over on the first round of troops being selected due to limited space. I received a call that our Troop was given the "runner-up" slot that became available due to a Troop from North Texas not being able to fulfill their reservation. Therein lies the reason for me to create this GoFundMe. We are looking for sponsors to assist us in covering the cost of the scholarships for the trip. Now that the good news has been delivered, I am tasked with finding a way to make up the difference from what has been expended and what is needed as quickly as possible

The cost to cover the reservation of 15 scouts and chaperones is $1650 needed to satisfy the program requirements and secure the reservation in full.
