Buy Carl Time

Donation protected
On November 26, 2019, our goat and family member, "Carl", had to be taken to an emergency vet with a blocked urethra and has been at there being taken care of for over a week. He has had surgery and has a temporary catheter while waiting for the blockage to dissolve . A temporary catheter should only be in for 7-14 days and if his blockage hasn’t passed, our only options are a very expensive and invasive surgery to reroute his urethra to a new opening or euthanasia (which is not an option at this time while there is hope). After speaking with our vet, he has indicated that Carl’s catheter can stay in another week or two, after the 14 days are up, but there are risks . Carl has some early signs the blockage is beginning to break up.

We are asking for help with Carl’s continued costs (boarding, medical) to buy him that extra time. The surgery and care so far has exhausted our resources (almost $2,500) and we are reaching out for assistance to give Carl a chance to pass the blockage on his own.
Carl’s daily board, medication and treatment for  approximately 21 more days of care is  estimated at approximately $2,500, not including additional procedures, if needed.

We LOVE our goats and, if you can, please help Carl “buy” some more time and bring him home for Christmas. God Bless you for reading and helping if you can. Have a very Merry Christmas. All proceeds not used towards Carl’s Care will be donated to a non profit local rescue.
