To celebrate our 50th Birthday in style, we are launching our Buy A Birthday Book project.
To benefit our pupils, we are opening a Go Fund Me page where you are able to contribute toward expanding our collection of fiction and non-fiction texts in our school library. At Lancot, we actively promote a love of reading and building up a varied and engaging collection of books is an ongoing and expensive task. However, we love a challenge and will continue thinking creatively to reach our goal!
Reading is a huge priority for and passion of the Lancot team. It is proven reading does not only promote English, but children who read tend to achieve better in all areas of the curriculum. Reading is at the centre of learning; it is important to build up children’s comprehension of language to help them understand the world around them.
If you wish to donate a book to our library, please visit our Go Fund Me page. The money raised will go towards restocking our library. To say thank you for your donation we will put your name on a book plate that will be displayed for all to see.
