Restoring Fire Damaged Buses

Tax deductible
Help the Commonwealth Coach and Trolley Museum get back on the road

On November 1, a fire destroyed the Commonwealth Coach and Trolley Museum in Roanoke, VA. Most of our vintage buses were destroyed.  Several were also damaged, but are repairable.

The purpose of this campaign is to secure funding to return the damaged vintage buses to service.

The Buses in need of repair are:

1991 Orion 1 used by DASH in Alexandria.

1997 Gillig Phantom used in Lynchburg.

1962 AB&W Transit used in Alexandria

1991 Gillig Phantom used by Valley Metro

The Commonwealth Coach and Trolley Museum actively transports thousands of people on behalf of local non-profit and civic organizations.  There is no charge for our service and our organization is run entirely by volunteers.

While the video tells of the devastation, it is only part of the story. We are still actively serving our community. The weekend after the fire, we were pleased to drive an incredible group of first-year medical residents on tours of their new home in the Roanoke Valley.
