Bus ticket to South Dakota

For those of you who don't know, I'm an emt. At work today I was sitting in the ambulance and a man approaches the window and knocks waiting for us to roll it down. And as many people know, in Springfield this happens a lot, people trying to get money, food or in my case of being an emt trying to get drugs from us. So we were a little skeptical rolling the window down. The man was wearing a hoodie with tears in his eyes asking us where the homeless shelter was. My partner and I weren't sure so we told him we would help him out and look it up. As my partner was looking it up we initiated conversation and he began to tell me that he missed his bus and is stuck in town for a while. After asking questions, this man told me that he was on a bus going home to South Dakota when he missed his connecting bus out of Springfield. Because he missed it, he had to buy a completely NEW ticket back costing him $180 and all he has it $20. Now at this point I was waiting for him to ask for money or something. But he didn't. Trying to hold back tears he said that he is just looking for somewhere to stay until he can figure out something to do to get another ticket. At this point I discreetly reached in my pockets to see if I had cash, but didn't. My partner found the shelter and pointed him in the right direction. He thanked us and seemed truly grateful for our help. He didn't ask for anything but some help and he really needs it. I would like to raise $250 for this man and bring it to the shelter where he will be staying. $180 for the ticket and the rest for food along the way. Please help me help this man!
