Burnsey's Journey: Guatemala 2017
Donation protected
Hello friends! First of all, if you don't know me already, a little introduction... my name is Jack Burns, I'm a twenty-three year-old student at Jacksonville University, Florida, originally from Portsmouth, England. Like the majority of gofundme's, this is my first time using the platform, so I hope the experience is a smooth and enjoyable one, for both, you & me!
In the past couple of weeks I have been afforded the amazing opportunity to travel with the humanitarian outreach organization, World Sports United (WSU), to the central american country of Guatemala, from the 17th until the 23rd of March (pretty soon, I know!). Our destination once in Guatemala, is Buena Vista, a small impoverished village. Our journey will lead us to be partnered with the Buena Vista Sports Academy For Boys, an organization dedicated to the improvement of the Buena Vista community through the education and development of it's young men, using soccer as the primary vehicle.

I will be accompanying WSU's founders, Mauricio & Milena Ruiz, alongside my good friend Cameron Grassmayer and several other volunteers on the journey to provide guidance, education, man-power, whilst gaining further comprehension on how WSU can be of sustainable assistance to the ongoing operation at BVSA. The cost of my trip is expected to be in the region $500; any jink in that cost will of great appreciation! Although the trip isn't overwhelmingly expensive, as a college student, every penny counts right now.
I hope to this journey of purposeful service not only serves the Buena Vista village, but can also afford inspriation to those yearning to make a difference in the world, and serve those around us.
I look forward to journaling my adventure and sharing through my personal blogging site: sonderssecret.wordpress.com
Please take a moment to check out World Sports United's website, and their involvement with BVSA. Link below: http://www.worldsportsunited.com/bvsa---guatemala
Please note, all donations are accepted, our reward levels are a little fun. Please, please, do not feel obligated to donate. If we surpass the estimated total, all additional funds will be donated to WSU and their persistent endeavors.
Thank you so much!
