Burial Expenses For Baby Khaliya

As a grieving grandmother and a supportive mother, It is with a heavy heart and incredible pain that I’d never wish upon anyone ever, that I request that people of the community, both near and far, young and old, friends and strangers alike, graciously and compassionately extend financial support as I try to  prepare to bury my grandgirl, Khaliya, who would’ve been 3 months old on November 22nd.  In such a short period of time, Khaliya touched my life and the lives of numerous others in ways that are incomparable to anything else I’ve ever experienced. 

She lit up the room, gave LIFE to those who otherwise walked in complete darkness.  

Khaliya had a small coo that was so empowering and harmonious that it created a rainbow of joy in the house.  She almost instantaneously became the comforter for her twin, Khalila. She was the younger of the two but quickly transitioned into the “Big Sister “BIG GIRL” only to leave all too soon leaving us feeling half empty.

On last Friday, my daughter Amaya’s twin baby passed away, me, her twin sister & best friend Khaliya, as well as Amaya miss her dearly and in no way expected or would have ever foreseen such a tragedy or loss. We walk around and have constant reminders of the joy she brought as well as the huge chunk that’s been taken from our hearts. While my daughter looked forward to maturing as a mother she so looked forward to strolling through the park with the twins learning how to multi-task, feeding one while rocking the other, bathing one while entertaining the other with singing and funny faces before one grew bored and began to whimper. 

Amaya couldn’t wait to get to these milestones and was excited about the journey that lied ahead for herself and the babies but part of that journey came to an abrupt end and has left us all with a huge void that makes each and every passing moment more and more unbearable.

Having only been awarded 2 and ½ months to fall in love with Khaliya, she had Amaya wrapped around her finger from day one- being left to prepare to bury my grand girl, Amaya’s daughter, Khaliya, has left us as a unit at a great disadvantage and Amaya’s thoughts are flooded with WHY… and HOW?

It is now that I turn to the community and people across the globe, asking for assistance on behalf of my daughter, Amaya, as she prepares to ensure that our angel Khaliya has a proper burial. In hopes of covering the burial expenses, we are trying to achieve a goal of $3000 and your assistance with these efforts will be greatly appreciated, as this is not an expense any of us prepared for.

There has been several who reached out asking for details on how to assist and contribute for that we are forever grateful and have since decided to use this page as an engine to accomplish this goal.
