Burditus Family Fund

Our community received the news on Monday, October 2nd, that fellow Green Beret and friend Tony Burditus lost his wife Denise in the tragic attack in Las Vegas. Denise and Tony were from the Martinsburg, WV area. When he retired from the Army they moved back to West Virginia and were enjoying life living near their family and traveling together.
Tony and Denise, high school sweethearts, never let life get in the way of their love and after 32 years of marriage, a life of service to country, raising 2 kids, 4 grandchildren and another on the way, they were still like newlyweds and best friends.
Denise was an amazing person that loved her family and this country.  She was one of the most energetic and fun loving people you would ever meet. 
Even after 32 years of marriage they were still truly in love and loved life together. After all their time, service, and sacrifice to this great nation they were finally able to take the time to enjoy one another and their time together.

While there is nothing that can be done to ease the loss of Denise I know many people would like to help. This fund is to assist the family with travel costs and all of the many expected and unexpected financial burdens that lie ahead.  This fund has been established with the expressed permission of immediate family and all proceeds will be forwarded directly to the Burditus family.
