What began as a humble childbirth study group quickly expanded into a flourishing, intimate collective of passionate people -- parents, activists, birth attendants, educators, holistic healers, and more. Now, AHBC is truly a family -- witnessing each other in becoming parents, raising children, and serving families as practitioners. In less than a year, we've moved from meeting in a borrowed living room to co-creating our very own home in West Asheville, NC! Now that we've moved in, we need your help in turning this house into a nourishing community space.
The Asheville Holistic Birth Collective is a grassroots, volunteer-run community education group focusing on holistic care throughout the childbearing year and beyond. We host educational meetings, monthly community outreach events, and regular gatherings -- educating, empowering, and celebrating our growing community together. With $6,500, we will be able to:
-Create a large workshop room for events, classes, and gatherings
-Integrate community gardens, chickens, & permaculture systems
-Make our home accessible, safe, and kid-friendly
Our goal is to raise $6,500 by July 11th -- marking one full year together as a Collective. On that day, we will come together to celebrate potluck-style in our beautiful new home, and you are all invited! Let's raise these funds so that our home will reflect how far our amazing community has come by our one year anniversary party on July 11th.
Together we are creating something truly unique and special for families and birth activists in WNC. Thank you so much for contributing to our cause.
