Building Men Mission Trip

Dear Family and Friends of the Building Men Program,

In October of 2016, a group of 15 8th grade boys decided together that their 8th grade Building Men class legacy would be Community Service.  They wanted to be remembered as a group that gave back to their community.  Over the course of the school year, they completed at least one community service project each month.  At the end of their school year, we discussed going internationally to help the poor in 2020.  This could change their perspective on life tremendously.

So together, we formed the Building Men Community Crew.  These boys have continued their journey together as over the past two years.  They have completed monthly community service projects.  Some of these projects involved working in a food pantry, yard work for elderly, bagging food for starving children, helping younger Building Men students, serving and cleaning up for other organizations fundraising events.

These boys have and will continue to give of themselves to the community, please consider supporting them in their mission. The Building Men Program Community Crew is heading to El Salvador in February 2020 to build houses for the families in need.  We have nine in the crew that are preparing to travel with Young Life during the mid-winter break in February 2020.  We are looking to raise money for passports and travel expenses for the trip.  Please support our boys, who have consistently gave of themselves monthly doing community service in our community, as they look to travel and possibly return from a life changing experience.
