Bucks for Bone Marrow

Donation protected
Hello world,

This is Ken.

Ken is my father-in-law. I've known him for over 15 years and I can honestly say he is the most optimistic, out going, kind and care free soul I've ever met. Nothing brings him more joy than being outdoors, skiing or bike riding, spending time with his family, snuggling with his grandson Cooper or receiving wet sloppy kisses from his dog Max.
He is that person who considers each day he wakes up a blessing, taking nothing for granted.

This is Ken's story

Over ten years ago Ken was diagnosed with Non-hodgkins lymphoma. During that time, he's endured countless chemotherapy and stem cell treatments in attempt to kick this cancer's ass.  And he did. He made it through every round of chemo like the absolute legend he is. Never complaining, taking the side effects on the chin and counting down the days till he could surf, ski and ride his bike again.
Then a few years later, cancer reared its ugly ahead once more. And again he went through the treatment, including a stem cell transplant, and kicked it's ass.  Only for it to come back 12 months later.

He's now reached the stage where he needs a bone marrow transplant, which is no easy feat.  His treatment is scheduled in Sydney at Westmead, where he'll need to spend 6 months in Sydney near the hospital while he rebuilds his strength.

This is where Ken and his family need our help.  In order to care for Kenny during his recovery, his wife Anne needs to be in Sydney for the duration. This means for over six months neither Anne nor Ken will be able to work, as Ken will require constant care and monitoring.

If you could find it in your heart for even the smallest of donations, the price of your daily coffee, that bar of chocolate you were considering as a post lunch snack, anything and everything will help Anne and Ken to get through this next challenge, to help Ken get on those skis again, to cuddle his grandson and receive so many kisses from Max

Your help will be so incredibly appreciated, and they (we all!) will love you forever.
