Hi Working to Recovery, www.workingtorecovery.co.uk Working to Recovery Australasia and the Mad Economy.com www.madeconomy.com are joining forces to meet our greatest challenge yet. Many people diagnosed with schizophrenia or Border line personality disorder are effectively dumped and given no hope of recovery. We want to end this.
The first stage of our plan will see the development of six recovery Centers and houses that will be set up in different areas one in Europe, one in USA or Canada, One In Australia One in NZ, One somewhere on the African continent and one in South America. We want them all outside of the system as a recent piece of comparative research has shown that outside of public services is best place for recovery houses.
We are adopting an education framework within recovery houses so they are not clinical and our vision is for these houses to have large acreage so that each can be a recovery education and practice centre with enough space for an annual recovery camp this we hope will be our major project work for the mad economy.
we are starting this appeal to raise funding for the centres. We have identified land for two of the centres and we want to set this as our first three month targets.
