RRF's Green Roof Campaign

River Revitalization Foundation is an urban river land trust in the city of Milwaukee. For nearly 25 years, we have been dedicated to the conservation of land and public access to greenspace. 
As a leader in environmental stewardship, we seek support for a green roof project to complement our solar panel installation. 
Why go green? 
Absorb stormwater runoff to mitigate potential flooding produced by conventional roofs.
Conservation of energy.  Vegetation acts as a natural cooling mechanism in the summer months, as an insulation layer, and provider of shade.
Increase biodiversity. A green roof generates space for agriculture, native plants, and habitat for wildlife.
