Well, you have made it to the right place, and we are extremely blessed, thankful and grateful that you are here.
This October, Brynn was diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer after having a small mass on her chest examined. After learning her diagnosis, Brynn and her husband Matt were thrust into the whirlwind of appointments, blood tests, and scans - gathering opinions and planning their course of action.
Within the first week, good news arrived when we were relieved to learn from the results of the PET scan that Brynn’s cancer is contained to her chest and lymph nodes and has not spread throughout her body.
However, in Brynn’s case, kicking cancer’s ass will include 4.5 months of chemotherapy to combat the cancer cells as well as surgery that will be followed by radiation. We will update the page when we learn more, but as of today it sounds like Brynn could be starting chemo in as soon as a few weeks.
Brynn has the strength, drive and motivation to beat this cancer - hands down. Her spirit is strong and her faith is unwavering.
However, medical treatment is expensive and overwhelming. Our goal and hope is to gather the funds needed to allow Brynn and Matt to focus on beating cancer and getting Brynn healthy without the worry of the financial burden that sickness can bring.
Donated funds will go directly to Brynn and Matt to assist with the cost of treatment which includes but is not limited to; imaging/scans, chemotherapy, surgery, IVF and general medical costs associated with reoccurring appointments, surgeries, bloodwork and labs, nutrition counseling, etc… We would also like to cover the cost of a wig for Brynn.
