Brian Perea

Brian Perea, Smiley, DJ Smiley, B loves his community with all of his heart. Right now he needs us to show him some love back. Brian suffered a head injury in an accident this past Monday while visiting his family in Puebla, Mexico and is currently in critical condition. Please help us raise the funds to pay for Brian’s medical care. Brian’s dad is with him in Mexico and will stay with him until he is well enough to come back. Please donate whatever you can to help Brian get better so he can come back home to his family and his community.

Brian is a youth & housing organizer at the Logan Square Neighborhood Association and has been with us since he was 14 years old as part of Kelvyn Park HS’s Social Justice Academy. He is a mentor to hundreds of young people across Hermosa, Logan Square, Avondale and Belmont Cragin. On any given night he may be seen knocking on doors to speak to residents about affordable housing or education justice. Our barrio needs him. Our city needs Brian to come back home whole.
