We are Chris, Kassie and Ava.
We adopted our daughter Ava from a loving mother approximately 16 months ago. She has made our lives better in more ways than we can count. A few weeks ago we were contacted by our adoption agency and informed that a birth-mother was interested in placing her baby boy that was fathered by Ava's birth-father. This would be Ava's biological half-brother. Kassie and I were not intending on getting back into the adoption process so soon after we have adopted Ava, however, we have had an overwhelming feeling of confidence and reassurance that this is the right move to make. We feel a responsibility to this little boy, Ava, and to his mother to bring him into our family.
We haven't had the luxury of saving for years like we did with our first adoption. This has caught us by surprise and put us in a unique situation where we would like to ask for help. Adoption can be risky and expensive. The total funds necessary for this adoption will be $28,000. Half down will be required as soon as possible and the rest will be due when the baby is born on November 26th.
We have not been able to have children naturally. Our experience with the adoption of our daughter Ava has changed our lives for the better. We are thankful everyday for the opportunity we have to be her parents and feel so blessed to share our home and love with her. To have the opportunity to add to our family, although sooner than expected, is more than we can ever hope for. We feel such excitement and joy for this chance we have to adopt Ava's biological half-brother. But in order to make this opportunity a reality, we need help.
